资源简介:
Objective: To investigate the safety and efficacy of a protocol based on sevoflurane sedation for the control of pain and agitation during botulinum toxin infiltration in children with cerebral palsy. Design: Retrospective observational study. Setting: Sedations were performed in a tertiary children's hospital from November 2012 to December 2019. Patients: Infiltrations with BoNT-A were carried out under sevoflurane sedation in 75 children with cerebral palsy. Methods: Initially, unconsciousness is achieved by inhaling 8% sevoflurane through a Mapleson-D system, then deep sedation is maintained with a fresh gas mixture with 2.5-4.0% inspired sevoflurane during intramuscular injections. Main Outcome Measurements: Demographic characteristics, clinical and functional characteristics, the effectiveness of sedation, adverse events (AE), and professional satisfaction were reviewed.
