Data plant assay 'MIX' sprayable oil adhesive for thrips control via plant metabolomic induction
收藏资源简介:
Dear reader, The datsets in this Zenodo repository entry belong to a study done on the effectiveness of a sprayable adhesive made of an oxidised mixture of plant oils (named MIX) that was used to protect Chrysanthemum plants against western fower thrips (Frankliniella occidentalis, Pergande.). there were 4 spray treatments: plants were sprayed with: (1) 20 ml water, (2) 20 ml MIX adhesive, (3) 40 ml MIX adhesive [a double dose treatment], (4) Solution [a control solution for the full MIX adhesive sample without the MIX oil component] The excel file: 20230329_RAW_plantassay_MIX_adhesive_V1.xlsx contains measurements on plant growth and data on thrips damage and reproduction of the plant experiment where plants were sprayed with 20 or 40 ml MIX adhesive, the control Solution, or water. Measurements were taken either before the start of the experiment or 25 days after treatment application. In the dataset the thrips damage measurements were done for each leaf on the adaxial and abaxial side. Other measurements were done per plant. Leaves sprayed with the adhesive and newly grown leaves were also sampled at the end of the experiment to determine wheteher leaf metabolomic contents would be affected. The effects on the plant metabolome were measured using 1H NMR and headspace GC-MS. The dataset: 20241115_NMRdata_plantassay_MIX_V1.xlsx contains the delta values of the 1H NMR measurements for chrysanthemum leaves sprayed with the adhesives and newly grown leaves The dataset: 20241202_GC-MS_plantassay_MIX_V1.xlsx contains the GC-MS peak area measurements for chrysanthemum leaves sprayed with the adhesives and newly grown leavaes. both of these datasets are processed data, meaning that peak alignment was done prior to obtaining the peak area values. further details regarding the analysis can be found in the manuscript upon publication or can be requested from the authors.
