Grouping was treated as a binary variable combining S and FF to compare with SFF. Variation in group size was measured as the residual CV in group size after removing the effect of length of the data set (Figure 2). Variation in sex ratio was measured as the variance in arcsine square-root transformed adult sex ratio. Female and bi-sexual Dispersal were combined and compared to male Dispersal. The parameter α gives the strength of phylogenetic signal.
