Background: The purpose of this study was to evaluate sensor responses for detecting SARS-CoV-2 virus samples. The study focused on measuring the sensitivity and specificity of the sensor and examining how matrix and buffer conditions influenced assay response. Materials/Methods: This device validation study tested sensor responses to varying concentrations of pseudovirus and inactivated SARS-CoV-2 virus samples. The study collected data using a smartphone-based platform to record assay performance. Measurements assessed the impact of different matrix and buffer conditions on the assay response. Data types included imaging and microscopy. Outcome/Impact: The study measured the sensitivity and specificity of the sensor system and evaluated how assay performance was affected by matrix and buffer variations.
