This dataset contains fuzzy-set qualitative comparative analysis (FsQCA) data from 186 medical students, which is used to evaluate the configurational impacts of higher-order thinking skills (HOTS) on reflective learning outcomes. It covers humanities and medical literacy training, medical case performance, validated HOTS level data, and empathy data. Additionally, it includes calibrated membership scores generated via fsQCA 3.0 analyses. All personal identifying information has been stripped from this dataset, and the dataset has been approved by the Ethics Committee of Zhejiang Shuren University.
