We performed to investigate the bacterioplanktonic community composition and their environmental responses to river regulation by a large-scale reservoir in Pengxi River. These results provide insight into the impacts of impoundments on bacterioplanktonic community in a large-scale reservoir and further research should be focused on potential ecological processes of river regulation by dam or reservoir.
