This is a companion dataset to the Changes in characteristics of convective precipitation in the Czech Republic by Beranová R., Rulfová Z., Zacharov P. to be submitted to Atmospheric research. The research was funded by the Technology Agency of the Czech Republic (grant no. SS02030040, Prediction, Evaluation and Research for Understanding National sensitivity and impacts of drought and climate change for Czechia, PERUN). This research was also supported by the Johannes Amos Comenius Programme (P JAC), project No. CZ.02.01.01/00/22_008/0004605, Natural and anthropogenic georisks. The dataset is published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC-BY-4.0). This license allows others to distribute, remix, adapt, and build upon the dataset for any purpose, even commercially, as long as they give appropriate credit to the original creator(s). The dataset contains the following parts: station_list.dat The file contains metadata for 19 meteorological stations operated by the Czech Hydrometeorological Institute. The columns provide the station ID, longitude (degrees east), latitude (degrees north), altitude (m above sea level), and station name. station_prcon_1982-2021_AMJJAS.dat The dataset contains daily convective precipitation totals (mm) for individual stations during the warm half of the year (April–September) over the period 1982–2021. The first column gives the date in YYYYMMDD format, followed by columns for the individual stations. aladin_hist_prcon_1991-2010_AMJJAS.dat The dataset contains daily convective precipitation totals (mm) simulated by the historical run of the ALADIN-Climate/CZ model for the evaluation period 1991–2010 during the warm half of the year (April–September). For each station, data from the nearest model grid point were used. The first column gives the date in YYYYMMDD format, followed by columns corresponding to the individual stations, represented by their nearest grid points. aladin_SSP2-4.5_prcon_2060-2099_AMJJAS.dat The dataset contains daily convective precipitation totals (mm) simulated by the ALADIN-Climate/CZ model under the SSP2-4.5 scenario for the period 2060–2099 during the warm half of the year (April–September). For each station, data from the nearest model grid point were used. The first column gives the date in YYYYMMDD format, followed by columns corresponding to the individual stations, represented by their nearest grid points. aladin_SSP5-8.5_prcon_2060-2099_AMJJAS.dat The dataset contains daily convective precipitation totals (mm) simulated by the ALADIN-Climate/CZ model under the SSP5-8.5 scenario for the period 2060–2099 during the warm half of the year (April–September). For each station, data from the nearest model grid point were used. The first column gives the date in YYYYMMDD format, followed by columns corresponding to the individual stations, represented by their nearest grid points. The ALADIN-Climate/CZ model was developed at the Czech Hydrometeorological Institute from the ALADIN numerical weather prediction model. Further information is provided in Beranová et al.
