IRS = Indian registration system; SGA = small-for-gestational-age (birth weight 90th percentile); LBW = low birth weight (4000 g); NA = not available (due to poor quality of data linkage of stillbirths and infant deaths to IRS members).* We did not test whether the outcome differences among the three First Nations groups or between the two Inuit groups were statistically significant because these groups are not mutually exclusive or not independent (ex. the same person could be identified as a First Nation by any of the three identifiers, and thus could be counted in each of the three First Nation groups).Birth outcomes, perinatal and infant mortality for First Nation and Inuit singleton births identified by different methods, Quebec 1996–2010.
