"The Forest of Knowledge" was created to accompany the publication: Cámara-Leret, R., Roehrdanz, P. & Bascompte, J (2026) The Forest of Knowledge Under Global Change. Nature. "The Forest of Knowledge" contains: i) Amazonian ethnobotany dataset, compiled by Prof. Rodrigo Cámara-Leret (https://rcamaraleret.com/), to understand the societal benefits that 5,796 Amazonian native plant species provide across all countries of the Amazon basin. It comprises 90,536 literature reports from 700 bibliographic references published between the 16th to 21st century, ii) Species distribution models, built by Dr. Patrick R. Roehrdanz, for 8,429 species. iii) processed datasets, iv) R code. The publication was a collaboration between Prof. Rodrigo Cámara-Leret (University of Zurich, Department of Systematic and Evolutionary Botany), Prof. Jordi Bascompte (University of Zurich, Department of Evolutionary Biology and Environmental Studies) and Dr. Patrick R. Roehrdanz (Conservation International).
