Research data for unit plot and small watershed in the Mollisol region of Northeast China (2003-2010)

This dataset contains rainfall, runoff, and sediment information collected from standard runoff plots and two small watersheds in the Black Soil Region of Northeast China during the period 2003–2010. The data collection was supported by the Jiusan Soil and Water Conservation Experimental Station of Beijing Normal University, with contributions from the station's staff and researchers. Rainfall data were collected using a combination of standard manual rain gauges, siphon-type recording rain gauges, and tipping-bucket digital rain gauges. Runoff data from the plots were measured using a system consisting of four components: a collection trough, conduit pipe, splitter box, and storage tank. Runoff and sediment data from the watersheds were collected using rectangular thin-plate weirs and triangular compound thin-plate weirs.
