Conserving key coastal areas for mangrove expansion and eco-tourism secures ecosystem services under sea-level rise - Spatial data
收藏资源简介:
This collection contains the input and output datasets used in the ecosystem service assessment of two coastal lagoons in the United Arab Emirates (Abu Dhabi and Umm Al Quwain). Data are organized by study site, with one ArcGIS Pro project package (.ppkx) and an accompanying Excel metadata file for each site. The metadata files document all input layers, sources, resolution, and limitations. Input datasets include spatial layers of blue carbon habitats (mangroves, seagrass, and saltmarsh), human activities (coastal development, aquaculture, and infrastructure), and climate scenarios (spatially explicit sea-level rise projections). Output datasets were generated using the InVEST (Integrated Valuation of Ecosystem Services and Tradeoffs) models and include habitat risk, carbon storage and sequestration, coastal protection, and recreation/tourism outputs. Scenario inputs (modified habitat maps) include sea-level rise, mangrove expansion, and salt-tolerant crops (the latter is included in the data package but not presented in the published paper). In addition to site-level outputs, the collection includes combined ecosystem service maps that integrate results across services to identify hotspots and trade-offs. Together, these files provide the complete geospatial foundation and model outputs underpinning the analyses in [Conserving key coastal areas for mangrove expansion and eco-tourism secures ecosystem services under sea-level rise ], enabling replication of results and reuse for further exploration of nature-based solutions in the UAE.
