Identification of key microRNAs affecting the melanogenesis of breast muscle in Muchuan black-boned chicken by RNA sequencing

To explore miRNAs that may play important roles in pigmentation of meat in chicken and gain insight into molecular mechanisms responsible for melanogenesis of meat, we investigated miRNA expression profiles in chickens with black and white meat using RNA sequencing (RNA-Seq).
