Dataset for: Adherence to dietary and movement behaviour recommendations in preschool age and later BMI: a 7-year longitudinal study accounting for socially patterned attrition

This dataset contains anonymized data from a longitudinal study of Finnish children followed from preschool age to early adolescence over approximately seven years. The dataset includes baseline information on sociodemographic and family characteristics, BMI z-score, actigraphy-measured physical activity and sleep duration, screen time, 3-day means of diet record assessed free sugar intake, and dietary fibre density, as well as follow-up participation, follow-up duration, and BMI z-score at follow-up. The data were used to examine adherence to dietary and movement behaviour recommendations in preschool age and its associations with later BMI, while accounting for socially patterned attrition.
