The fungal strain Amphichorda felina (syn. Beauveria felina) sp. SYSU-MS7908 was isolated from a marine ascidian sample (Styela plicata) collected at North Atoll of the Xisha Islands, South China Sea, China, in 2018. The fungal strain was identified as A. felina based on rDNA ITS sequence, ITS phylogenetic tree analysis, and morphology (including microscopic morphology). The rDNA ITSregion sequence of fungus has been submitted to GenBank (Accession number MT786206). The fungal strain was deposited at GuangDong Microbial Culture Collection Center (GDMCC NO 61059) and the School of Marine Sciences, Sun Yat-Sen University.
