Operational Bus Lane Travel Time and Passenger Load Dataset for Warsaw, Poland (Representative October Samples, 2019-2025 and March 2026)

The dataset contains operational public transport data provided by the Warsaw Public Transport Authority (Zarząd Transportu Miejskiego w Warszawie, ZTM) in response to a request for access to public information submitted under the Polish Act of 6 September 2001 on Access to Public Information (Journal of Laws of 2001, No. 112, item 1198, as amended). The observational data fall into two groups. Representative travel time observations were collected during October in each of the years 2019–2025, whilst passenger load data cover March 2026. The travel time datasets allow bus travel times and commercial speeds to be calculated along selected dedicated bus lane corridors in Warsaw. The passenger load dataset provides boarding, alighting and onboard passenger counts for bus services operating along Puławska Street. The repository further includes inter-stop distance data, without which commercial speeds cannot be derived, together with documentation of the official methodology applied by ZTM in assessing service punctuality under its contracts with public transport operators. The dataset has been organised, documented and translated into English so as to facilitate reuse by the international research community. The original numerical values remain unchanged. The repository is intended to support reproducible research in transport engineering, urban mobility, public transport operations, sustainable transport systems and bus priority infrastructure.
