829. Size 73/4 in. by 43/4 in.; foll. 415. Mostly nine lines in a page.
A detailed description of the world to come, founded upon the Koran and the tradition, and entitled البدور السافرة فی امور (احوال) الآخرة, by JALÂL AL-DÎN SUYÛṬÎ (d. A. H. 911). See Ḥ. Kh. ii. 30.
Beginning: قال الشیخ الامام العالم العلامة جلال الدین ابن سیدنا الشیخ الامام العلامة کمال الدین ابی بکر السیوطی الشافعی نفعنا الله تعالی ببرکته و رحم سلفه و سلفنا به الحمد لله الذی خلق السموات و الارض و جعل الظلمات و النور الخ.
In about a hundred and forty chapters, a list of which precedes (foll. 1-8). The first treats of the end of the world (انقراض الدنیا و النفخ فی الصور).
The author’s epilogue contains no date.
Clearly written in Nasta’liḳ, breadthways like Sanskrit books. The colophon runs as follows: و قد وقع الفراغ من تحریر هذه النسخة الکریمة الجلیلة المسمی ببدور السافرة فی احوال الآخرة من تالیف الشیخ الامام العلامة الفاضل شیخ جلال الدین السیوطی تغمده الله بغفرانه فی سبع و عشرین من شهر الشوال یوم الجمعة سنة ١٠٩٩ فی بلدة دار السرور برهانپور حرسها الله عن الآفات و الشرور بید الضعیف العاصی الراجی الی رحمة الله الحنان المنان فقیر قطب الدین ولد محمد سعید الصوفی البرهانپوری ابن شهباز (؟) خان غفر الله لهما الخ.
