Populus balsamifera developmental tissue series

This study examined the transcriptome level attributes of a variety of Populus balsmifera tissues and organs. The tissues include seedlings grown under three light regimes, young leaves, mature leaves, roots, differentiating xylem, female catkins, and male catkins. In total 27 samples were analysed including 9 tissues with 3 biological replicates for each tissue. The samples were hybridised to the Affymetrix GeneChip Poplar Genome Array.
