Attitudes and Perceptions of the Greek Population Toward Posthumous Reproduction (N = 1,205): Survey Dataset
收藏资源简介:
This dataset documents an original cross-sectional survey investigating attitudes and perceptions toward posthumous reproduction among 1,205 adult residents of Greece. Data were collected from 4 February 2025 to 17 February 2026 through an anonymous, voluntary online questionnaire administered using Google Forms. The 36-item questionnaire examined demographic and social characteristics, awareness of posthumous reproduction and the Greek legislative framework, attitudes toward prior informed consent, posthumous gamete retrieval, embryo transfer, cryopreservation, waiting periods, decision-making authority, parental rights, and sperm donation from deceased donors. The study employed purposive, non-probability sampling through multiple dissemination channels. The associated research used descriptive statistics, chi-square tests, Cramer's V, McNemar's test, binary logistic regression, and latent class analysis. The research was approved by the Ethics and Deontology Committee for Research of Democritus University of Thrace (protocol ΔΠΘ/ΕΗΔΕ/39130/220, 13 March 2019). The dataset is deposited under restricted access to protect participant privacy. The underlying individual-level responses are not publicly downloadable. Access and reuse require authorization from the rights holder and compliance with applicable ethical and data-protection requirements. The findings describe the study sample and should not be interpreted as nationally representative estimates.
