In accordance with section 18 of the Electoral Affairs Commission Ordinance (Cap 541), the Electoral Affairs Commission (“EAC”) submitted to the Chief Executive (“CE”) a report on its recommendations on the geographical constituency boundaries for the 2025 Legislative Council General Election on 13 June 2025. The CE in Council accepted the recommendations on 24 June 2025 and, pursuant to section 18 of the Legislative Council Ordinance (Cap 542), made the Declaration of Geographical Constituencies (Legislative Council) Order 2025, which became effective on 1 August 2025. For details about the delineation exercise, please refer to the abovementioned report, which is available at the EAC’s website (www.eac.hk).
