资源简介:
Photograph from the book "The Beginnings of San Francisco" of the Palo Alto tree and San Francisquito Creek, the site of Portola's camp from November 6-11, 1769, [s.d.]. The tall evergreen tree is at center, surrounded by a host of smaller trees. The creek is at right, and is crossed by a metal trestle bridge. The bank on which the tree is growing is supported by a large brick wall. Palo Alto means "tall tree" in Spanish.
