Material stock and embodied emissions in residential buildings across Norwegian municipalities

This dataset contains estimates of material stock and associated embodied greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions in residential buildings across Norwegian municipalities. The objective was to quantify material composition and related environmental impacts at high spatial resolution to support analyses of resource efficiency and climate policy. The three datasets include values for three main categories: (1) material stock, (2) emissions from material production and (3) emissions from dwelling manufacturing. The data are disaggregated by municipality, building type and construction cohort, enabling detailed assessments of temporal and spatial patterns. Monte Carlo simulations were used to generate uncertainty ranges for all values. The work was conducted as part of a Master’s thesis at Instituto Superior de Agronomia, Universidade de Lisboa.
