Stable oxygen isotope measurements of core MD95-2016 were performed at ∼10 cm intervals on picks of the planktonic foraminifera Globigerina bulloides in the 250–315 μm size fraction, using VG-Optima and Elementar Isoprime dual-inlet mass spectrometers at the Laboratoire des Sciences du Climat et de l’Environnement (LSCE, Gif-Sur-Yvette, France). All results are expressed as δ18O with respect to the V-PDB standard. The external analytical reproducibility of ±0.05‰ (1σ) was determined from replicate measurements of a laboratory carbonate standard.
