Variant call files (VCF) and functional annotation datasets generated from whole-genome sequencing data of H. lacustris mutant A116. Three VCF datasets are provided: the complete set of detected variants, variants overlapping annotated genes, and variants located within coding sequences (CDS). Functional annotation of the reference genome was generated using eggNOG-mapper, providing orthology-based functional assignments including Gene Ontology (GO) terms, KEGG pathways, COG categories, and enzyme codes. Variant annotation was performed using SnpEff, and all VCF files retain full annotation fields, including predicted functional effects (ANN field). These datasets enable the exploration of variant distribution across genomic features and their associated functional annotations. variants_Q20.MQM50.DP10.WTref.ANN.vcf.gz Complete variant set (VCF) VCF file containing all detected variants prior to filtering by genomic features. Variants include single nucleotide variants (SNVs) and insertions/deletions (indels), with genotype information and functional annotations (e.g. SnpEff ANN field). variants_Q20.MQM50.DP10.WTref.ANN.GENES.vcf.gz Variants overlapping annotated genes (VCF) VCF file containing variants located within annotated gene regions, obtained by intersecting the complete variant set with genome annotation features. Includes full variant annotations and genotype information. variants_Q20.MQM50.DP10.WTref.ANN.CDS.vcf.gz Variants in coding sequences (CDS) (VCF) VCF file containing variants restricted to coding sequences (CDS). This dataset represents variants with potential impact on protein-coding regions and is used for downstream functional analyses. Hlac.emapper.annotations eggNOG-mapper functional annotation Functional annotation of the H. lacustris genome generated using eggNOG-mapper v2.1.13. The dataset includes orthology assignments and functional annotations such as Gene Ontology (GO) terms, KEGG pathways, COG categories, enzyme codes (EC), and protein domain information. This annotation was used as the basis for downstream functional enrichment analyses.
