资源简介:
Research background: Current international developments in time based media have identified boredom generated through fixed camera and long duration takes as a means to engage with the essence of time and a state of psychological detachment. The work Little by little suddenly originally questioned how these devices could be used to create a distancing from any specific event while engaging with anxiety, trauma and loss through reflection, regulation and moderation.
Research Contribution: The curatorial framework of boredom shifts the contextual framework of the work. The emphasis on daily life, the passing of time and the links made between boredom and violence as a necessity in visualising art as expounded by Gillies Deleuze alters the readings of the work. In this context the work makes a new and original contribution to this discourse through repetition, framing and extended real time to create a detached engagement with a simple task to reflect on lived time, violence and the creative process of art making. The work is aligned with the internationally recognised works of Wojtek Doroszuk (PL), Dorota Kenderová/Jaro Varga (SK), Matthew MacKisack (UK), Jan Nálevka (CZ), Alice Nikitinová (UKR), Eugenio Percossi (IT), Zuzana ¿abková (SK)
Research Significance: Tabacka Kulturfabrik is a civil association founded in 1996 that supports and promotes non-commercial cultural and art activities. The organization is a member of Trans Europe Halles (a European network of independent cultural centres) and supported by the prestigious European Commissions EACAE Culture Program. The exhibitions curators Dorota Kenderová and Jaro Varga (SK) are highly esteemed, internationally recognized curators at HIT Gallery Bratislava. http://www.nytimes.com/2011/02/25/arts/25iht-rarthit25.html
