Replication Data for: The Right in the Territory

This replication dataset accompanies the book chapter “La centroderecha en el territorio: Una mirada regional a la estructuración de la competencia electoral en Chile.” It contains all data and code necessary to reproduce the empirical analysis of territorial patterns of electoral support for the Chilean center-right between 1989 and 2016. The materials include harmonized electoral datasets at the comuna level, data preprocessing scripts, and the R code used to compute descriptive statistics, regional indicators, spatial measures, and all figures and tables presented in the chapter. The repository also provides shapefiles and spatial weights matrices required for the spatial analysis. All data are public and derived from SERVEL, municipal census information, and Chilean administrative boundaries. No confidential or restricted-access information is included.
