Curated non-redundant repeat library of <i>Gomphocerus sibiricus</i>

We used Earl Grey v5.1.0 (Baril et al. 2024) to predict repetitive DNA sequences de novo in the new chromosome-level assembly and retrieve a non-redundant species-specific repeat library. We used the repeatlib_filtering_workflow to filter the repeat library for non-TEs resembling proteins (source code: https://github.com/NBISweden/repeatlib_filtering_workflow) and parsed the filtered repeat library through TEtrimmer (Qian et al. 2024) to automate the manual curation of the repeat library. The curated library is currently being submitted to the Dfam database (Storer et al. 2021).
