In the visual experiment, three types of graphic stimuli were used: standard stimuli (a square of 106×106 pixels), target stimuli (a triangle with both height and base length of 106 pixels), and distractor stimuli (a circle with a radius of 53 pixels). These three types of stimuli were presented randomly at three different positions on the screen, with probabilities of 80%, 10%, and 10%, respectively. The visual experiment consisted of 600 trials (480 standard stimuli, 60 target stimuli, and 60 distractor stimuli), lasting approximately 20 minutes in total. Participants were required to respond only to the target stimuli.In the auditory experiment, three pure tones of different frequencies were used as stimuli: standard stimuli (440 Hz), target stimuli (600 Hz), and distractor stimuli (260 Hz). All tones were presented at an intensity of 40 dB. The probabilities of stimulus occurrence were consistent with those in the visual experiment. The auditory experiment consisted of 600 tones (480 standard stimuli, 60 target stimuli, and 60 distractor stimuli), and participants were required to respond only to the target stimuli.
