Identifying genetic modifiers of somatic instability in X-Linked Dystonia Parkinsonism

X-Linked Dystonia Parkinsonism (XDP, DYT3) is a human disease affecting predominantly individuals from the Island of Panay, Philippines. This study aims to identify the genetic modifiers of somatic instability by combining exome sequencing, Miseq, and statistical genetics. These data provide mechanistic insights into MSH3 modifier effects on the CCCTCT repeat expansion and contraction.
