Raw 16S rDNA gene V4 region sequence data collected from multiple sampling sites in the South China Sea, regions impacted by the Kuroshio Current, and regions in the Western Pacific Ocean. Samples were obtained at varying depths (0-1000m) across epipelagic and mesopelagic zones. Sequence data generated using primers 515FmodF and 806RmodR.
