<div>This dataset contains hourly pedestrian counts by location in the City of Sydney.</div><div> </div><div>For responsive design see our <a target='_blank' href='https://cityofsydney.maps.arcgis.com/home/item.html?id=a0abf612051a4cc79918e6ce5ee7295b' rel='nofollow ugc noopener noreferrer'>Automated Pedestrian Counts Dashboard</a>.</div><div> </div><div><strong>Our automated pedestrian counter trial has now come to an end.</strong></div><div><strong>Please check back in the future for further updates.</strong><br /><br /> </div><div>Automated counters were placed in busy areas of the CBD to assess performance.<br /> </div><div>Data collection began in February 2020 and ended in June 2025, giving us a picture of impacts to pedestrian activity due to Covid-19 and the recovery.<br /> </div><div> </div><div>For more extensive data across the local area, please visit our <a target='_blank' href='https://experience.arcgis.com/experience/0b0e93e54d6c46db9d389a0043edeabd' rel='nofollow ugc noopener noreferrer'>Twice Yearly Walking Counts Dashboard</a>.</div><div>Data sets can be downloaded from <a target='_blank' href='https://data.cityofsydney.nsw.gov.au/' rel='nofollow ugc noopener noreferrer'>City of Sydney Data hub</a>.</div><div> </div><div>* Counter location A004 (Park Street) was counting approximately half of pedestrian activity from 03-July 2022 to 11 Nov 2022.
