A bacterial strain was isolated from long-term pesticide-treated cropland for beta-cypermethrin degradation and was identified as Lysinibacillus pakistanensis VF-2 by 16S rRNA sequencing. Through response surface analysis, the optimum conditions for degrading beta-cypermethrin was 5.5% of inoculum, pH of 7.0, and substrate concentration of 41 mg/L, and the highest degradation efficiency was 81.66%.
