To uncover the underlying molecular mechanisms of nodule by Bac.B and Bra.Q2 co-inoculation, a transcriptome analysis was performed. Compared to the individual inoculation of Bra.Q2, the co-inoculation of Bac.B and Bra.Q2 resulted in 3340 differentially expressed genes (DEGs). Among them, 1649 were up-regulated and 1691 were down-regulated. Furthermore, the KEGG pathway enrichment analysis indicated that these DEGs were significantly enriched in phenylpropanoid biosynthesis, starch and sucrose metabolism, mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK) signaling pathway, and multiple N metabolism pathway. Overall design: The experiment comprised two treatments: low nitrogen application with Bra.Q2 inoculation (R), and low nitrogen application with Bac.B and Bra.Q2 inoculation (BR)
