资源简介:
PSI/Swaziland commissioned this research study to generate dashboards that will guide the marketing and communication campaign for abstinence, increased condom use, reduction of multiple partners, and increased uptake of VCT services in Swaziland. The study is integral to the social marketing plan and strategic plan of PSI/Swaziland. The target group for the study was men and women between the ages of 15 and 24 years. Individual, one-on-one interviews were conducted with randomly selected members of the target group. The sample size for the study was 1,254, which was divided across the four regions of Lubombo, Hhohho, Manzini, and Shiselweni roughly in proportion to their populations. The sample was also divided across rural and urban areas, roughly in the ratio of their population contribution. Data was collected during November and December 2005. Data analysis to identify significant behavioral determinants was conducted using SPSS and statistical techniques such as logistic regression and unianova. In cases of missing data, especially on scale items, values were inputted by considering same respondents' response to similar questions in the scaled construct.
