资源简介:
The clinical effect of decompressive craniectomy (DC) in children with moderate-to-severe traumatic brain injury (TBI) remains controversial. We aimed to analyze the characteristics of moderate-to-severe TBI in children treated with DC, and to explore the clinical effect of the DC operation compared with non-DC treatment. Methods A total of 47 children with moderate-to-severe TBI who underwent DC in the Children's Hospital of Chongqing Medical University from March 2014 to January 2022 were analyzed retrospectively. Each child who underwent DC (DC group) was matched with one child who did not undergo DC (non-DC group) according to age, Glasgow coma scale (GCS), pupil response, and cranial CT findings on admission.
