资源简介:
The present paper reports on an experimental investigation of the drop-in process for R22 replaced by the hydrocarbons propane and propylene as well as the HFCs: R438A, R404A, R410A and R32, in a 15 kW refrigeration system. The experimental facility was composed basically of an alternative variable speed compressor (VSC), tube in tube heat exchangers and an electronic expansion valve (EEV). The tests were performed by just replacing the refrigerant, without changing any components, as typical in a drop-in process. The main parameters were varied to verify the range and performance of each refrigerant and then compared to the reference, R22. The experimental results showed that the natural refrigerants presented the best coefficient of performance, COP, and the results for HFCs, excepting the R32, remained below those of R22. In relation to the environmental impact, using TEWI, the hydrocarbons presented best results; meanwhile the HFC404A showed the highest environmental impact.
