资源简介:

Abstract. The growing importance of international cooperation, global communication and professional mobility has increased the demand for English language proficiency among managers and senior executives. Unlike general English learners, management professionals require language skills that enable them to participate effectively in business meetings, negotiations, presentations, professional correspondence and decision-making processes. This article examines the pedagogical principles and practical approaches to teaching English to managers and senior executives. Particular attention is paid to needs analysis, English for Specific Purposes (ESP), communicative language teaching and task-based learning. The article proposes a needs-based instructional model that integrates professional communication tasks, authentic materials, role-play activities and performance-based assessment. It argues that effective executive English training should focus not only on linguistic accuracy but also on communicative competence, professional confidence and context-appropriate language use.
