parlCymru: a Dataset of Spoken Contributions from the Welsh Parliament 2016-2021

parlCymru intends to provide full-text vectors for all spoken contributions from the Senedd Cymru/Welsh Parliament (formerly National Assembly). This beta version provides coverage of all recorded speeches of the Fifth Senedd from 2016-05-05 to 2021-05-05. Metadata includes the speaker, their party, gender and electoral district, the title of the debate and the date. Data are presently available in .csv and .rds. Speeches are available in English and Cymraeg, with a variable 'lang' identifying the language spoken originally. Future versions will look to expand coverage from 1999 to the present day.
