The quantum-to-classical transition has long been a subject of deep inquiry within the realm of physics, with decoherence theory serving as a fundamental framework for understanding this process. Traditionally, environmental interactions have been seen as the primary mechanism behind the loss of quantum coherence. This thesis introduces a new factor—velocity—as a pivotal element in accelerating the quantum-to-classical transition. By deriving and validating the Arrabal Critical Velocity, a theoretical threshold at which quantum effects rapidly collapse into classical behavior, this research expands upon conventional decoherence models. Through experimental validation at CERN’s Large Hadron Collider, this work demonstrates how particle velocity influences the rate of decoherence. The implications of this model are far-reaching, offering new insights into quantum mechanics, cosmology, and practical applications like quantum computing. The findings suggest that velocity is a key to unlocking a deeper understanding of the transition between the quantum and classical worlds, with significant consequences for both theoretical and applied physics.
