资源简介:
This dataset is specifically crafted to facilitate Traffic Signal Timing Optimization (TSTO) studies using the SUMO simulation environment. It includes a rich compilation of traffic volume inputs, τ, which are essential for initiating and evaluating traffic simulations across diverse road network configurations. The dataset spans ten different road networks, encompassing six synthetic and four real-world scenarios, each meticulously modeled to reflect distinct traffic flow characteristics and network geometries. The synthetic networks, identified as Net-single1, Net-single2, Net-single3, Net-double, Net-2x2grid, and Net-3x3grid, vary from simple single intersection setups to more complex grid formations. The real-world scenarios are based on specific areas within Cologne and Ingolstadt, designed to provide a realistic testing ground for traffic management solutions. For each network scenario, traffic volume inputs are generated and tailored to simulate various traffic conditions, from uniform distributions representing steady traffic flows to Gaussian mixtures mimicking peak and off-peak hours. These inputs determine the number of vehicles entering the network through designated entrance edges over specified time intervals. The dataset contains 22 distinct Traffic Signal Timing Adaptation Problem (TSAP) instances, each associated with a specific network and traffic case scenario, represented by 1200 traffic volume inputs per instance, with training, validation, testing split ratio as 10:1:1. This ensures a comprehensive set for conducting extensive traffic simulation and optimization experiments. Route File Generation Process:The workflow of generating the route file, "Route.rou.xml," is an integral part of the dataset preparation. This process is conducted using the JTRrouter, a built-in tool of SUMO software. The JTRrouter takes the traffic volume input τ and randomly constructs trip information for each vehicle until the designated number of vehicles is reached. The route file specifies each vehicle's departure time, the departure lane of the departure edge, and a sequence of passing edges including both the departure and destination edges, necessary to trigger the simulations. For consistency and reproducibility, the same random seed is used in the JTRrouter for generating each instance of τ.
