Movements of blue sharks in the North Atlantic Ocean using satellite telemetry, 2014-2017

This dataset contains Argos-based position estimates that represent the movements of a pelagic predator, the blue shark (Prionace glauca), in the Gulf Stream region and broader North Atlantic Ocean using electronic tags. We collected >2,000 tracking days recorded by 15 instrumented individuals over a three year period. Each individual shark was assigned a unique identification number that includes Taxononomic Serial Number (TSN) from Integrated Taxonomic Information System, tagging year and satellite tag Platform Terminal Transmission (PTT) number as "TSN_YR_PTT".
