Dataset Supporting the Study of Do green institutional investors promote environmental responsibility?

The curated analytic dataset used in this study. This dataset contains firm-level panel data used to investigate the relationship among green institutional investors, corporate ESG performance, and corresponding corporate financial outcomes. ESG rating data are collected from Bloomberg and SynTao Green Finance ESG Rating Database. Data on green institutional investors, mechanism variables, and corporate financial control variables are derived from the China Stock Market & Accounting Research (CSMAR) Database. The cleaned dataset can be used to replicate the empirical results and related analyses in the associated research paper.
