We integrated network toxicology, protein–protein interaction (PPI) analysis, and molecular docking to identify DEP–AD shared targets and prioritise PI3K/Akt signalling. We then exposed WT and 5XFAD mice to DEP and performed a rescue study in 5XFAD mice using the Akt activator SC79. Cognitive performance, amyloid pathology, neuronal/synaptic markers, PI3K/Akt–mTOR readouts, and autophagy/apoptosis-related proteins were assessed.
