Expression data from medial vestibular nucleus neuronal subtypes of mouse. Mus musculus

Medial vestibular nucleus (MVN) neurons were functionally classified by single-cell gene expression profiling. The transcriptional diversity across MVN neuronal subtypes was further examined by microarray analysis. Overall design: Single-cell cDNA prepared from individual MVN neurons were first classified into 8 cell types (E1, E2, E3, I1a, I1b, I2, I3a, I3b) by expression profiles of transmitter-related genes, ion channels, and cell-type markers (Kodama et al., 2012 J Neurosci). Single-cell cDNAs belonging to each cell type were pooled and subjected to microarray analysis.
