Street View House Numbers (SVHN) dataset is a real-world image dataset developed for machine learning and object recognition algorithms, characterized by low requirements for data preprocessing and formatting. Similar to MNIST, SVHN contains images of small cropped digits, but in terms of labeled data, its scale is an order of magnitude larger than that of MNIST, comprising over 600,000 digital images. Unlike MNIST, SVHN addresses a more challenging and unsolved real-world problem: recognizing digits and digit strings in natural scene images. This dataset originates from house numbers captured in Google Street View imagery.
