Cleaned Adriatic in situ hydrographic data (1952–2023) for a Mediterranean thermohaline acceleration analysis

Cleaned and harmonized regional Adriatic in situ hydrographic observations (temperature and salinity) used in the study "Observational evidence for accelerated warming and salinification propagating into the deep Mediterranean" (Terzić & Vilibić, Geophysical Research Letters, 2026). The record contains four cleaned datasets in long-table CSV format, together with a README documenting provenance, the mapping to the original project filenames, row counts, file sizes, SHA-256 checksums, variables, and the processing applied. They are one of three observational sources combined in the study, alongside the SeaDataNet aggregated Mediterranean dataset (SDC_MED_DATA_TS_V2) and Argo profiles from the Argo Global Data Assembly Centre.
