LTER Lampyrid data

Observations of lampyrids (fireflies) captured at Kellogg Biological Station's Main Cropping system experiment 2004-2015.<br><br>Data archived in this file are extracted from the database held here:http://lter.kbs.msu.edu/datatables/67 and combined with agronomic records from the site at http://lter.kbs.msu.edu/datatables/162<br>Fields are defined as follows:<br><br>DATE- date of sample collection, M/D/Y format<br>TREAT_DESC - Treatment description- the permanent treatment of the plot where the sample was taken. Treatments are Coniferous, Deciduous, Successional, Alfalfa, Poplar trees, Early Successional Community, Conventional till, No till, Biologically based (organic) and Reduced input<br>HABITAT- plant community- largely the same as TREAT_DESC, where Coniferous=CF, Deciduous=DF, Successional=SF, Alfalfa=alfalfa, Poplar trees=poplar, Early Successional Community=ES, but Conventional till, No till, Biologically based (organic) and Reduced input can be wheat, soybeans or maize- this variable allows us to account for crop identity in the four treatments undergoing crop rotation.<br>REPLICATE - the replicate where the sample was taken (values 1-6)<br>STATION - the sampling station within the replicate where the sample was taken. each replicate had 5 sampling stations<br><br>ADULTS - the number of adult fireflies on the trap, for that station-rep-treatment-date combination.<br><br>
