Data Axle's Community Dimensions dataset provides additional demographic and statistical data beyond what is available through the U.S. Census Bureau. This data is generated from Data Axle's extensive consumer insights and defined households.

By utilizing the Community Dimensions statistics you can customize your marketing efforts for specific regions based on attributes such as purchasing power and wealth, median age or the percentage of mail order buyers. This data also allows you to analyze neighborhood criteria to support business decisions based on economic characteristics such as the percentage of households with an income of $150k+, stability of the area based on % of stable households or newcomer households, and housing characteristics such as homeownership and home value.

Sourcing: Data Axle's Community Dimensions dataset is created from the reported and modeled data that is available in our U.S. Consumer Database. The statistics are recalculated on a monthly basis.

Data Axle’s Consumer Database is compiled from over 90 sources, utility connects, real estate data, voter registration data, credit card transactions and other public sources such as hunting licenses and boat registrations. Over 20 types of secondary sources are collected to then provide additional insight into consumer demographics, lifestyles and households.

Data Quality: We understand the importance of reliable and accurate data for your business's growth. That's why Data Axle invests over $20 million annually and employs more than 300 full-time researchers to ensure that our records are up-to-date and accurate. The Consumer Database undergoes monthly audits by the Quality Assurance team before release to customers. Any data elements that vary by 5% or more from the previous month are analyzed.

Data Axle periodically hires a third party to audit a representative sample of the database for accuracy, and the third party sets the criteria for the sample data. Data Axle complies with data protection laws by processing data through multiple DMA privacy sources, including the Do Not Mail, Do Not Call, and CAN-SPAM lists, as well as proprietary deceased suppression files and self-reported consumer email opt-outs. The process is automated through the OnePass system and can be configured to meet client-specific business rules. The privacy standards are audited by a dedicated quality assurance team.
