Analysis of resistome, mobilome, and Virulome of Aeromonas hydrophila subspecies dhakensis from clinical sources

Aeromonas hydrophila subspecies dhakensis is prevalent in aquatic environments, posing a risk for severe clinical infections. Despite its notable virulence and antimicrobial resistance, comprehensive pan-genomic studies for this species are scarce. In this study, we conducted an analysis on 28 clinical A. dhakensis isolates using single-molecule real-time sequencing technology. This analysis, coupled with diverse databases, aimed to elucidate the whole genomes, focusing specifically on phylogenetic relatedness, antimicrobial resistance genes, virulence factors, and mobile genetic elements.
