Matriz de recomendaciones CSRD-ESRS aplicables a Microsoft Sustainability Manager
[EN] Matrix of change recommendations applicable to Microsoft Sustainability Manager to adapt the tool to the simplified CSRD/ESRS in the public sector. It was developed as part of a doctoral thesis on the application of the European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS) to the public sector. It follows directly from the CSRD/ESRS Traceability matrix (https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.23021229), which establishes which requirements of the simplified ESRS are carried over to the public sector reporting model and with what wording. This matrix turns each of those requirements into a concrete change recommendation for Microsoft Sustainability Manager, the sustainability reporting technology tool tested in the thesis. The Excel workbook contains eleven worksheets, one per standard (ESRS 2, E1 to E5, S1 to S4 and G1), with a total of 390 recommendations. These map one to one onto the 390 public sector identifiers (S- prefix) of the traceability matrix, so the two files can be joined without loss. For each recommendation the file records the adapted requirement it responds to, the original datapoint it derives from, the type of regulatory change, the public sector treatment, the type of response the tool should support and the product components affected. It also gives the priority, the explicit wording of the recommendation, a verifiable acceptance criterion, the associated application requirements and the type of technical intervention needed. Overall, 239 recommendations require action on the tool: 129 through configuration and 110 through development. The remaining 151 are informational and only require checking that the retained requirement remains correctly mapped. The simplified version of the standards used as the reference is Delegated Regulation (EU) 2026/1563. The dataset is intended for other researchers, for public administrations assessing the adoption of the ESRS and, in particular, for teams configuring or developing sustainability reporting tools for public entities. The recommendations reflect the author's interpretation and are not an official document of Microsoft, EFRAG or the European Commission. The upload includes a README in Spanish and English.
