Cold tolerance of Alfalfa Improved by Phosphate Fertilizer

Phosphate (P) application is an important measure to improve the cold resistance and production performance of alfalfa, but little is known about the mechanism of P improving the cold resistance of alfalfa. Therefore, this study wanted to explain the mechanism of alfalfa response to low-temperature stress under three P applications (control, low-, and high-phosphate conditions). Our findings could contribute to a deeper understanding of the response mechanism of alfalfa to cold tolerance.
